El Dorado SA Revolver Question

I picked up the El Dorado single action revolver from lay-away at the local pawn shop on Sat. It is made in Chimney Rock, NC, is of stainless 17-4 steel and is in 45 Colt caliber. The question is: Do any of you know what the inscription on the right side, "JTB-1" means?

    I figured out what it means. I overlooked the obvious. It's the serial number! Still, not your everyday variety.

    The serial number was a special one. I made my first gun, a 41 mag Stainless Seville w/ 4 5/8" barrel. The number is JDH-1, my initials.

    John, do you have any idea to whom the initials "JTB" may have referred ? I have a feeling that it was someone who worked for the company, maybe when they were in North Carolina. Another idea is that it might be the initials of a customer for a special order gun.

    My understanding is they did a lot of special guns. It was probably a custom serial number. Why anyone would let it go though I am not sure.
