has anyone had a 300 saum rechambered to 300 wsm? how does it shoot?
does the rem 700 feed the wsm cartridge ok? what would it cost to do this?

No, I haven't. But why would you want to? The SAUM is a far better cartridge for short actions than the WSM simply due to the length of the case. The extra 0.085" allows a bullet to be seated out further than with the WSM in the same magazine.
It can be done but you would have to be careful to have the chamber aligned perfectly in the lathe when you re-cut the original chamber, otherwise the neck area could get screwed up (technical term). The factory chambers are notorious for being poorly cut, so the chance of getting a perfect alignment is slim to none. The 300 WSM will clean up the 300 RSAUM chamber but make sure that the neck area is indicated in before cutting. The biggest problem stems from the pilot not being supported at the beginning of the cutting and the minimum amount of material being removed will cause the reamer to chatter. Things that the gunsmith should be aware of before starting.

That will depend on all of the variables present with any firearm system. The barrel, the chamber, the throat, the alignment of the barrel to the receiver, the loads, and even the shooter and the scope being used, and this is the short list. You can't answer this question accurately.

It might take just a bit of tweaking (another technical term) since it is a bit longer than the original cartridge, but not a lot. It should feed O.K.

It will cost more than this idea is worth. Whatever the cost may be, it will be too much. You'll be better off selling the 300 RSAUM and buying a Winchester WSM than going through all of these machinations just to have a WSM in a Remington. If your intent IS to have a WSM on a Remington then I would start with a receiver and put a good barrel on it right from the start. This way, you get the best shot (yes-pun) at having the potential for the beginnings of an accurate rifle. Trying to be frugal (read cheap) on a project like this usually leads to the client spending more money than necessary and winding up with a less than quality product.
I know that this sounds like I'm being hard on your questions and I am. I hate to see folks waste their hard earned money.
