Hi-cap magazines have always been available. Just for LEO's only though for those made after the ban was started. Now they are available for any and everybody.

The lifting of the ban had no effect on the prohibition on imported military style firearms like Uzis, HK, or FALs. If the HK-94 is to re enter the market it will have to be produced by HK here in the United States or be fitted with enough USA made parts (like some of the FAL, CETME, and AK type rifles) so as to be considered made in the USA.

Are you sure? I thought that this was part of the big up roar, that now stock of new imported arms could be replenished. I'm almost positve importing will begin again.

From my understanding this the ironic thing about the ban, they didn't ban assualt rifles, except how they can be configured. You have always been able to buy the AK's, AR's, and others, you just couldnt have a bayonet lug, or other evil accessories, and of course it banned high cap magazines from being sold (except the ones made b4 the ban).
