Enfield magazine question

Just bought a magazine that is for the Enfield, which one? not sure. But it looks barely too big for my mkIII. Looks like with some modification it may work. Anyone ever done this? And is this a no. 4 or no.5 mag?

  I don't think the No. 4 mag will fit in the No. 1 rifle. But, the No. 1 mag will fit the No. 4 rifle.
