Elevation #'s
Does anyone out there in Internetland have a handy-dandy means of preserving (or re-doing) the elevation numbers on your rear sights when re-blueing or painting?
Thanx in advance.

I'm not sure that I really understand your question? ( the painting has me really confused ).
Most of the ex military rifles I'm familiar with have a rear sight assembly thats removable. Here are instructions for the Mauser.

Some rifles have numbers on the base of the sight that are integral with the barrel, i.e. Finnish, Mosin-Nagant. Best thing to do would be to fill in the numerals with white "paint/lacquer stick" that is sold in auto parts stores.
