Problem with pre-ban Kimber 14-rd mag followers
I just purchasee a Kimber Pro BP Ten II 45 ACP. It came with one 10-rd dual-stack magazine and two 14-rd dual-stack pre-ban magazines.
The followers on the 14-rd mags have slide release notches cut significantly deeper than the 10-rd mag, as a result the slide often doesn't stay back after the last round is fired from the 14-rd mags.
Can I purchase replacement followers without such a deep notch? Perhaps directly from Kimber?
How do you replace followers on these mags? I assume the base plate slides off, but the proper method escapes me.
Thanks for all your help.
