  Different vintage Hornady products that use the same part number. The 310's were intended for the Soviet 7.62x39 mm round, andthe 311's are more of a 303 British diameter. According to most "experts", the difference of ".001 is neglible at worst. Some rifles will be at that perfect bore diameter to "like"one better than the other, but chances are very good you will see no difference in the performance! I, oddly, have the same 2 boxes (several of each) at home. The 311's shoot really well in my Fin M-39, but the 310's don't group nearly as well from the same gun! Go figure! My P-14 Enfield absolutely LOVES the 310's, and won't digest the 311's very well at all! As I said before, just a different vintage and current use!

  I've shot.308 bullets in my SKS and they shot reasonably well. Remember, these aren't benchrest guns.
