pistol conversion any good?
I've been reading about these conversion kits for pistols.. You can convert your 40 cal to shoot 9mm or .357 sig. I'm wondering if any of you have heard of this. I wouldn't mind shooting some 9mm out of my XD40. http://www.norecoil.com/ It looks like a real company. For $179 you can get a 9mm barrel for the XD40. I just might have to get me one of these.

You can shoot 40S&W and 357SIG with the same slide, magazine and maybe a different spring but because of the smaller case head diameter, the 9mm slide cannot be used and you will need a 9mm slide, spring and maybe magazine.
I bought a 357Sig conversion from Keltec that included the whole upper for $175.
The original 9mm upper has been retired.0 -
This is a special Match Compensated barrel with the outside deminsions of a 40 or 357 sig pistol as applicable and chambered for the 9mm round. See barrel list for available conversions. Another nice part of this conversion is the magazine, your 40 magazine will hold 9mm just fine...so it is not necessary to buy a 9mm magazine. I shoot more 9mm out of my Glock 27 than 40 SW...much cheaper to shoot.
