Stith Mounts ?????

Do you know anything about these mounts. Are they in demand ?

  Stith mounts are very much favored by those firearms enthusiasts that do not want to damage or alter their gun from its factory original condition (like me). Nick Stroebel has a brief synopsis of the M.L. Stith company and the four different types of mounts that they manufactured during the 1950s in his book on "Old Rilfe Scopes".

  If you go to the Savage99 website there is a small section on the Stith mounts. I personally utilize a Stith on a Savage99 in 30-30 with fantastic results. My main reason for this is that there is no gunsmithing required to mount the scope therefore not ruining any collector value by drilling and tapping. I also think it's cool to use a period piece on a period rifle.
