7mm-08 Ammo Recommendations?
I've ordered a Savage 11G in 7mm-08. Was going to pick out about 3 different ammos and see what would shoot tightest group. I don't do reloads. I will use for whitetails at 150 yards or less in woods. Well, friend might take me hunting where I could get longer shots in a pipeline opening. Anyway, any recommendations for factory ammo for 7mm-08? Bucky

Welcome bucky, If you are looking for something resonably priced, You might try Remington or PMC and for the price I have found that winchester power-points do a pretty good job 1" @ 100m from my 700 and they're only $13.00 per box for .308[:D][:D][:D] have fun shooting!!! and be safe!

We sell more Hornady Light Magnum ammo in this caliber than any other. I would try the Hornady first and Ill guarantee you'll be happy.

I reload almost exclusively but I have been shooting some Federals lately, Federal Classic and Federal Power-shocks I shot a .6" 3 shot group the other day at 100 yards out of my .338 win mag with these!

Federal premium ammo with the 140gr nosler balistic tip gives a nice clover leaf for me at 100yds.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
