Colt Custom Govt. 38

I just bought this Colt at a estate sale. on the white outer box it states: Colt model - 02071ElC2 38 Super, 5" barrel, Bright Stainless Steel. ELCEN16XX. Inside the white box is another blue box w/ colt mfg in gold. I can't it listed in my bluebook, what is the gun worth?

  Sounds like it may be part of the "El" series? These were special editions produced for Lew Horton Distributing (Westboro, Ma). That would explain the Custom Shop Box.
  My guess, based on the serial number, is: El Centauro .38Super Bright Stainless 350 produced 1997.
  I got this info from Blue Book under "Lew Horton." Is there anything else you can tell us about this pistol? Maybe one of our better experts can help with a little more info?

  This is a current production gun. Made in the Colt Custom Shop. I have 2 on order now. Been on order for over 9 months.

  any where from 900.00 to 1100.00 they sell for here at gunbroker
