  I'm afraid that the ODDS are going to about a Million to One... But I'd suggest Posting a Wanted Ad on the Wanted Portion on gunbroker.com...and keep it refreshed daily....You might consider running an Ad in the Gun list and Shotgun News also.....I wish You Well.....................

  I would also try the same question on the doubleguns.com "Doublegun BBS". There seem to be a number of guys on that site who specialize in or are at least very knowledgeable about Remington hammer doubles. Original wood is gonna be hard to find; repro not so hard. Metal will involve a long search for a junker to cannibalize, I think.

  I purchased a small lot of 1889 parts in order to get a buttplate for an 1889.... I have a trigger guard among those parts... It is serial # 80291..I believe that puts it in the realm of an 1889.... Contact me off forum if interested...... snake803@juno.com ...
