brass knuckles/switchblade
In the recent movie Thomas Crown affair, Rene Russo has a set of brass knuckles that also has a lockback switchblade which hides inside the handle. Does anyone know who the manufacturer of that collectible is?

I don't know the specific piece you're talking about, but about two decades back years ago there were a number of manufacturers that sold these sorts of folding knives with brass knuckle-like grips as "paperweights". They are a sort of update of the classic world war I "trench" knife, and replicas are still available, if you like:

My understanding is that 1. In most jurisdictions these kinds of things are decidedly illegal (whether labelled as a "paperweight" or not), and 2. All of the folding variety were poorly built cheap imports anyway, so they probably have little collectors value.

OK, here's a "source" for a folding knuckle knife:

I don't know if this is anything like the one in the movie you mentioned, but personally, I wouldn't touch this thing. Also, this is a somewhat interesting take on the subject, to quote Don Rearic, the author of this website:

In Closing.
Get caught with them in your pocket.Go to jail.they are illegal damned near everywhere, I don't know of a State where you can carry metal knuckles. It seems as though they have been illegal forever. (snip). . .
While I think about it, stay away from the folding knuckle knives. No one reputable ever made a pair which means you cannot trust the locks on them. Unless you want to have the nickname of "Stubby," avoid them like the plague. They have been sold for two or three decades now. Cool idea, poor materials and craftsmanship.
'Stubby'? Yikes!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Even though your question is a little "off topic", in reply, as said by those above ... most of this stuff is just plain junk. Eye Candy (Gee Whiz) stuff ... AND ... you get caught carrying it your up the proverbial creek.
Save your money ... don't go there!
