clarifying question
I would love to know if there is any way a Win. Model 70 with a BLIND magazine can be converted to a magazine with a hinged floorplate. I appreciate any replies I get very much. Thanks, Barry L.

YES YOU CAN BUT PRICEY, YOU'LL NEED A NEW TRIGGER GUARD ASSY AND STOCK (OR INLET THE OLD ONE) BOTH WILL COST LOTS OF $$. CHEAPER IN THE LONG RUN TO SELL THE ONE YOU HAVE AND BUY WHAT YOU WANT. 0 -
Mike is correct however if you realy like the rifle you have go to a gun show and buy one new or used with the parts you want and then swap your barreled action to new stock and sell old stock on new action. Some times you can get more for parts then used gun cost. Just be sure to get a gun with same lenght action and same diameter barrel. 0 -
I appreciate everyone's replies and will definately check my options. My only concern was that I want a wood stock, but the wood I have seen is all inletted for a hinged floorplate. I guess I will continue to look for a wood stock built for a blind magazine. Thanks again to everyone for the input. Barry L. 0 -
MIKE WISKEY, please shot of your caps lock.
Mike is loud, but he's also correct. Making a change like that will cost a bundle. Without much practical benefit.0 -
Sunray, thanks for the comeback. I wondered why I was being "screamed" at! Thanks, Barry L. 0 -
sorry about the caps. but i'm in the contracting business and deal with elderly customers a lot. i always type quotations and invoices in caps. so they can read them easier. 0
