Valuation Remington 788 44 Mag. Scoped
Hello:
I've owned a Remington 788 in 44 Mag. for over ten years now. I could remember as a kid seeing the rifle advertised with the old television style Redfield scopes. So when I found the identical new/old stock Redfield scope and bases, I bought them even before I owned the rifle. The 788 is in near new condition (98%); and was sighted in with about 20 rounds before being cleaned an placed into storage. I still have the original rifle sights; but no box or papers. The stock is in walnut.
Can you folks give me an idea of what this rifle should bring, or should I just hang on to it. Right now it's a gun safe relic, and rarely sees the light of day, and hasn't been shot in a decade.
I'm trying to live by the adage, that if I don't shoot it, I should sell it . . . so what's it worth?

the 788 in 44 mag is one of the rarest of the 788's made , the magazine will bring $40-- $75 by itself , if it was in one of the more common cal. if would be worth in the $350 range but you can add anywhere from 35 to 50% to that because of it being in 44mag 0
