Heritage Rough Rider .22 LR / MAG Combo
Anyone out there have any experience with the Heritage "knock off's" of the Ruger Single Six? I have noticed these a time or two and was curious if anyone has any experience with these guns, and if the quality of them is as good as the Ruger? I know the price is certainly much less. Just curious!

For the money they are good plinkers, but they are not in the same league as Ruger.
Save up a little more money and buy a Ruger, it will last you a lifetime which is something that the Heritage won't do unless you only fire the gun infrequently ... then maybe the lesser gun will work out fine for you.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
I've got a set and they are good pistols for the price. To me they don't look or feel as nice the Rugers I have, but I also paid a pretty good bit more for the Rugers. I've never had a problem with the 2 I have and they get shot a pretty good bit. They make excellent "bring along" guns because they function fine and want make you cry if you scratch one. I'm curious as to what others say though. 0 -
I have a Heritage Roughrider and an FIE E15. They are both ok utility guns. I use mine mostly with ratshot for vermin and snake control. If I were to get a plinker revolver I'd go with the Ruger myself...

i own a HERITAGE ARMS ROUGH RIDER .22LR(also shorts and longs) / .22WRF(from the mag cyl) / .22WINMAG / 2-cylinder combo gun. mine came with a holster, and some QUICK-SHOK ammo. mine has the 6 1/2" BBL and the fixed old style sights. i have owned it for over 7 years, and shoot it quite alot...
at 50 yds, from a sandbagged benchrest, it wil do superbly on a 5" spinner. when the gun was new, the "hand" broke...
HERITAGE fixed the gun at no charge, and sent it back with a test target, and a free set of laminate grips to go with the original GONCALO ALVES wood panels...
its a cheap, reliable starter gun...
there well made entry level pieces. it was the 1st SAA i ever owned...

Excellent revolver for the money, not the same quality as a Ruger, but you are paying a few hundred less!

I ordered two of them for customers and had problems with both of them. The first one was a composite frame with fixed sights and it shot 5" to the right at 20 yards. On the second I ordered a steel frame with adjustable sights. When this one came in the rear sight screw hole was drilled in the wrong place and someone at the factory tried to "quick fix" it. When I sent it back to be repaired it took several months to get it back.
Do yourself a favor and get the Ruger. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.0 -
I don't know, the local shop where I do business has sold ALOT of Heritage revolvers and they have never had any come back for repair. For $169 dollars, they are a good deal.
