Remington 7600 7mm-08
I have a 7600 in 7mm-08 and I'm trying to find a value on it for insurance reasons. It's has excellent high gloss wood and the best blueing. On the side it has gold engraving of a deer and cover.I've looked it up in books but they don't list anything with the engraving. Could someone help me with a price. Thanks!

all I could find was 7600 custom grade model available in 3 levels of engraving , gold enlay each gun should be individually appraised , new in the box cost for a F grade with gold inlay was $8050. , don't know if this is what you have but I would call the factory and ask them 0 -
I have the same rifle it was purchased at Gander Mountain in Wilmont Wisconsin when they were still on Wilmont Road back in 1993. These guns sold new for $419 and I had a 3x9x50mm Leupold scope mounted on it. I was told at purchase time it was a limited production of 5000 made by Remington and they were only able to get one. The regular 7600 models were selling at the time for $379.00 in comparison. I have only seen two others since I got it one was at Grayslake Illinois at a gun show back in 2000 and the guy was asking $750 for it and it was showing some sign of use. Mine is new in the box and never fired so I thought that it was worth more. Last year I saw the second on Aution Arms sight it was for sale from a dealer in Arizona and he wanted $1600 for it and claimed it was 98% on bluing with only a few light handling marks. I emailed and made an offer on it of $800 and he wrote back saying that these rifles are rare and collectable and that he would not go less than his asking price. I saw another one a few months ago that was simular but the picture on the side was different on it. That one was on Guns of Americas sight and was being autioned by someone in Wyoming and it was going for just over a thousand bucks. [8D] 0 -
Just checked with the experts at Cabela's in Chicago. According to them the 7600 Gold Enlayed was called a Deer Hunters Special with only 500 made in each caliber. They told me mine being NIB it could go as high as $3000 with out the scope on it. I did some more research and found this one which looks simular to mine that just sold on Guns of America in Illinois for $2100 with a matching knife.

Sounds like you have a 7600 Premier F with the gold inlays and the top of the line wood. This was the Remington top of the line custom shop model. I have seen them go from 3,000 up to 9000 region also makes a big difference they seem to do better in the midwest and north east 0
