early auto 5 question

I was wondering what the value of a auto five is from the first 10,000 is and what is the likelyhood i could find one for sale lets say one that is complete but not in the best condition

    I have seen some A5's fairly old( not sure about first 10'000 also not sure if they are worth anymore either) but in nice shape( standard grade plain bbl)go for $350.00-$400.00.

    From what I see of the market, it makes very little difference when an A-5 was made until the year 1969 is reached (when they changed from the round pistol grip knob to the squared off pistol grip). Some do not like the earlier guns with the "suicide safety", but it makes little difference to others. For a gun in the condition you specify, I would not expect to pay more than $300 (unless it was one of the higher grade guns).

    I disagree with wipala... Browning's serial number list says that serial number 123732 was the 731st gun made in the year 1932. As for the value, if the Polychoke is a after market addition (which is most likely the case), your A-5 is worth about $250.
