What's the effective range on a CZ-70

Just got this CZ-70, 32cal. What is an effective range where I wouldn't be farting in the wind trying to hit the target. It has about a 2-3/4" barrel. I would not expect the accuracy to be to good beyond 10 yds (30')and would figure the outside range to be 25yds (75').

Somebody got any insight on this pistols range.

  I have a CZ 70 and it is not very accurate, but I could hit a man size target at 25 yds.

  Two most important factors affecting accuracy on these small, fixed barrel, blowback pistols, are trigger pull & sights.
  
  If the above two items were adequately designed into the pistol when it was developed and the trigger linkage wasn't screwed up, when the pistol was assembled, it could turn out to be a decent shooter.

  Don't laugh at a 2-3" barrel. They can still be pretty accurate. Best thing to do is just take it out and pump a box or two through it and you decide for yourself what "your" range for the pistol is.

  "Effective". This begs the response that there is no real "effective" range because the round is not "effective".
  
  Now having stold that persons "thunder" [}:)] let's get to the question.
  
  There is some darn good defensive ammo out today for 32's and I really believe that these pistols are intended for use at relatively close range, say 10 yards and in, and that is what I would consider the optimum "effective" range to be.
  
  Out of a 4 inch barrel the 32 has a MV of 900fps and ME of 130ft. lbs. and a 22lr is around 1000fps and 100ft. lbs., so the 32 Auto and a 22lr really are pretty close to one another relative to energy because of the higher velocity of the 40 gr. 22 bullet.
  
  Neither are real "man stoppers" but both have taken the lives of many "men".
  
  With some practice/ranging shots you can hit targets out to 100 yards as the 32 will drop about 6 inches and the 22 around 4 1/2, but the energy would be under 90ft. lbs.
