hi-point 995
i picked up a NIB hipoint 995 9mm for $179. the gun feels like junk and looks like junk, but i couldent resist a 9mm carbine for under 200 brand new. anybody have any experience with these weapons? it appears to the a direct blowback action, just like many .22s is this correct? i basically just want to know if i wasted my money, or if i have aquired a fun little plinker. i havent got out to shoot it yet.

These are actually great guns for the price. Gun Tests picked this over a Ruger PC9 in a head to head comparison. They shoot any ammo you want and very accurate for what looks like a tire iron. Ive sold these anywhere from $150.00 to $200. So you did alright.

wow, thanks, i was expecting to hear that i picked up a worthless piece of plastic. do you know of anyone who makes accessories or replacement parts for these weapons, i am particullarly interested in replacing the trigger with something a little more solid. 0 -
Not sure about that , I would do a Google search for Hi Point accesories. I know you can buy clips, compensators and laser set ups directly through them or your local dealer might stock them.
