??? Did Colt change their 1991 L.H. roll stamp?

I entered "colt 1991 stainless" in to the general search, and three had large garish stamping. The fourth only showed the R.H. side

Colt's web page still shows the three lines of type, with the "horse" logo.

Am I missing something?

P.S. budsgunshop.com was selling these excellent 01091 examples last Labor Day for $590 on a GB Dutch auction. I was just offered $650 for mine. NO WAY !

  Yes, I know for sure that Colt changed the left side stamping. The older 1991A1 had COLT M1991A1 stamped on it with no horse. The newer ones have 3 lines with the horse logo.

  i must have had it backwards, because mine, one year old, has the three t\lines, but a recent search on GB revealed three models of the 01091, the 1991 Gov't Stainless, with the blocky roll marking.

  I got mine when they came out and it has the bold type on it COLT M1991A1, guess I need one of the others also. I hope there is no diff in price.
