Winchester model 70 conversion

Can a post 64 model 70 with internal mag be converted to a hinged floor plate mag. What parts would be needed? What would be the best source? Any help will be appreciated.

  Best source would be Brownell's, Jack First Distributing Co. You could use your existing mag box. Order the trigger guard ass'y, forward trigger guard screw, and the magazine cover ass'y(hinged floorplate and cover). These parts can be had in stainless steel or blued also. The follower is good and you may be able to use your existing spring. Good luck.

  I'd look long and hard at the blind box stock before starting this project. I't could easily be that the shape doesn't have enould extra wood to allow you to rework it into the hinged floorplate model. If you have to get a new stock then the project might more then it is worth. Another source of part infor would be Numrich/Gun Parts Corp in New York. They have really good exploded diagrams in their catalog.
