Marlin Model 9 Camp Carbine
I just bought one of these Model 9 9mm Marlin carbines used. The magazine won't latch. Otherwise almost perfect condition. Anyone ever have this problem? I guess it either has to be the magazine or the catch. If you own one, how do you like it? Any suggestions?

Are you sure you got the right magazines? They take Smith & Wesson M659 magazines I do believe.

I owned 2 of them not long ago. Both went South on me. Both had buffers go out. Not buying anymore of them.

Great little rifle IMHO. I have one that I bought used almost 10 years ago. I topped mine with a Tasco PPII.
Try another Magazine and if it fails to latch, you will need to find some parts. Some of the aftermarket S&W Mags that came with my C9 would not lock into place. Any 59/69 series S&W Mag will work in your gun.
