Colt 1911A1 Milled or Stamped trigger

On a Colt 1911A1 circa 1943, how can you tell if an installed trigger is milled or stamped??

  If it is stamped you will see 2 little semi circles (indents from stamping) near to the body of the gun on the rear of the trigger and the front of the trigger will have a rounded look to it.
  On the milled trigger the sides look machined flat and the curve is not as pronounced on the checkered part, also the checkering is more defined on the milled trigger.
  
  I measured it and cut it twice, and it's still too short!
