Clean PA-63?

I just saw an FEG PA-63 on GB for sale. It appeared from the photos that all the import info was stamped on the slide. I own one and all that info is on the frame and the slide is clean ( except for PA-63 ). Has anybody ever swapped a clean slide to a clean frame and are they consistant enough in tolerances to do this?
