Any idea what this is worth ??

This was given to my by my father. Works great, great shiny condition. Some of the marking include: Llama, Stoeger Industries, 22 Magnum RF, Made in Spain. I want to sell, and wonder what I should ask/get for it.

    if my father gave me a parker A-1, i'd keep it. if he gave me a stoeger 22, i'd sell it. my only question would be ...why would your dad give it to you? was he thinking it was worth more an he wanted to bless you or is he just cleaning out the closet? in any case, its yours now. and as a good son, if he asks you what you got for it, tell em, a million bucks![;)] my dad gave me the following: a browning hi power 9mm, a ruger speed six 9mm, hi std mk2, an iver johnson safety hammer 22, iver johnson herc 12ga, hi std sport king rifle, a jennings 22, and an EIC s.a. .22. he gave them to me because he was geting old and didnt want them any more. i kept 4 and sold the rest. the 4 i kept were ones that were sentimental and the others sold for cash with no hard feeelings. i got a good price and he was happy that i was blessed. he was also happy to see the ones i kept. it made him feel important. and its 5am and a cant sleep, so if this is more than the post needed, im sorry. heck, email me, i like it, i'll buy it. i like gaudy engraved guns.

    Thanks for everyone's input. I think it is silver, not sure (my brother got the gold/silver version). Any way to check?

    Now, as to the "your Dad gave this to you and you're selling it??"...here's the deal.

    Dad gave me this gun, and gave my brother a similar one, when I was about 13. When I was 19 or 20, he must have 'forgotten' about giving it to me, because he took it out of the family gun case, and gave it to me AGAIN for another birthday LOL! For the next 15 years he would ask " hey, you know that gun I gave you? Do you use it? Because, it's worth a lot, you know, let me know if you don't use it, where is it?" He apparently wanted to buy it back and sell for a profit. So guys, Dad was not hoping that I would pass this on to future generations. I AM keep a little .22 that he gave me -- fits in my palm -- I even added new grips to it. By the way, he gave me a beautiful 30/30 when I was 16. He sold it about 4 years later. He did give me the money (when I asked about what happened to my gun). [ No Offers of Buying, Trading or Selling allowed on the Forum's.....]

    you need to read the Posting Guidelines on this website. This exchange has appeared on the "Ask the Experts" forum; it is a forum that provides an opportunity to ask technical questions. It is not a classified ad site for those wishing to sell firearms. It is no coincidence that Gunbroker hosts an online auction facility for just that purpose. I suggest that you list your gun there; the great thing is, you don't need to "know" it's value. You just list it at the lowest price that you would be willing to accept, & let the market determine the "real" value. You should read the rules on conducting auctions before you list your gun.

    ohh, hes one of those dads. hmmm, seems he likes your brother more if he gave him the gold one! lol. ok, sell it and tell him it was only worth 150.00! tell him you got what he paid for it. lol. that'll teach him![:D] what we have here is a dad who bought a cheap gun and thinks its worth a new car.[:p] put it on gb and lets see what happens. where the rubber meets the road works every time.
