whats the value of Win mod 12 trench gun date1943 and parkerized

Question would like to put rifle sights on a mod 12 16ga.This gun shoot's good with a bead thought it would make it better by putting sights on it.Want to use as a slug gun.Was told the barrel is to thin on the end to put on front sight on .I was told to put a scope on it would make it better. anyone have any idea's on this. 0 -
Boltaction: you can solder a sight on. However taking a Md 12 and doing that will ruin any value it has. Even one in rough shape is worth $250-$300. More in parts. NOTE: Without knowing much about your gun and when it was made, when they first started making the 16 & 20 ga. they had short chambers. So if your gun isn't marked: 2&3/4 Cham. It has a short chamber and I wouldn't shoot slugs out of it, much less anything else until you open up the chamber and ejection port. Regards Dave 0
