Pair of very old Flintlocks
Hi all.......
I hope some one can gime me some insite as to what I have, I received a pair of flintlock pistols from a friend and they are in mint condition they have markings which I`m some what familar with,a crown with GR under it under the flash pan, on the back right side just past the hammer is stamped SAR, and on the left rear side of the barrel is an oval with a V in it......if any one has any info I would be very greatfull........I can send pics if need be.

Replicas, nice looking ones, but.......replicas, the SAR may be Service Armament Replicas, an old N.J. importer of black powder replicas. 0 -
Jody C is right. Actually not bad as replicas go. Fairly faithful copies of English military pistols of late flint period around 1825. 0
