    Hi D@D,

Actually, both answers are sort of correct.

Revelation was a brand name for Western Auto. There were four manufacturers for the Revelation brand name. They were Savage, Stevens, Mossberg, and High Standard.

The Model 300 means your gun was made by Savage. The original Savage was Model 30 D, E, or F.

NUMRICH CROSS REFERENCES THE REVELATION MOD 300F AS BEEN MADE BY STEVENS AND THE ORIGINAL MOD WAS THE STEVENS MOD 77C

    Interesting.

I hate it when this happens!

My reference is the Blue Book of Gun Values, 25th Ed.

It indicates that for the Stevens the Western Auto Model number would be 394 Series P and that the original Stevens would be Model 94P.

There is a bright side to all this though. Savage bought Stevens in 1920 so they are the same companies. Checking with either Savage or Stevens should lead him to the correct replacement stock.
