Springfield Armory XD-40
I just bought a XD-40. Really nice weapon. Shoots great. The trigger is alittle stiffer than I'm used to. But my question is..I'm looking for different sights to install. I can't find any other than Trijicon #SG01. Those are $115. I don't want to spend that kind of money on sights. Any information would be helpful.

Brownells Catalog www.brownells.com lists a number of sights for the XD. Unfortunately if you want tritiums thare all going to be in the same ballpark price wise.
Do a Google/Froogle search for tritum sights, you might luck out and find somebody on the net, who will give you a better deal.

Trigger should improve with use ... give it a couple hundred rounds.
Sight wise ... all of the "tritiums" run within $20-25 of each other. Other sight options can run you as low as $45-50 if your patient and shop around.
Run some internet searches to get a better feel for what your options are as well as sources/prices.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
I am looking at buying a XD9 and replacing the sights also. I found that TruGlo is making a replacement sight that uses their fibre optics tube with Tritium so that the fibre optic glows day and night. The quote below is from an EBAY seller.
"231 series is the fiber only and 131 series is the TFO. The TFO are avaialable but are slightly more expensive. Also the XD specific TFO's are about another 1-2 weeks out."
