Beretta 686 Vs. Whitewing

What's the difference between Beretta whitewing and 686. I was comparing those two at the gun shop and the info I got is that the whitewing in a downgraded 686 with cheaper wood and cheaper components with lees engraving. Is that correct.

The Beretta Whitewing is a model 686. There are no bad aspects to either gun. There are about 6 different models of the 686 some with silver receivers, checkered stocks, gloss finish, engraving & other frills. But they all share the same quality materials. Receivers & barrels are the same. When purchasing a Beretta shotgun it is very important to know exactally which model number & letter designation as this greatly determins price. Example: 687L = $1250.00 687EELL = $4500.00. Hope this is helpful information
