Stock for Remington 600
I was wondering if there is anyone out there that could give me the distance between the floorplate screws center to center on a Remington 600. I came across an unfinished stock for sale that was just marked Remington. It is not for a 700 or an Enfield. It is much shorter(3/4 of an inch). The distance between the screw holes on the stock measure 7 3/8 inches.

I'm not sure what spacing would be 7 3/8. I have an old 700 short action and the distance between the front & back screws is about 6 1/2". I think the long action is about 3/4 inch longer, so that may be what the stock is for. 0 -
I just checked the floorplate screw spacing on my old Remington 600 chambered in .308 Win. and they are 5 5/8 inches center-to-center. It appears that your mystery stock is not for a 600.[?][?]

I have both Mod.700 long action & Mod. 721. The screw center to center dim. on both is approx. 7 3/8. You say this unfinished stock is shorter, is that length of pull as in youth model?
I believe the floor plate screws on a Mod. 725 are also 7 3/8.
hope this helps, Jim
