need help with 7mm stw load
[?][?]If anyone has a pet load for the 154 sst using h1000 or Retumbo powder I would apreciate the help. Can;t seem to find any. The rifle is a Rem 700 bdl with a 24 in. tube and a vias break.

Retumbo is way too slow for that weight of bullet. It will push it,..but not to top speeds. I would work with H1000 or IMR7828 or RL22 or 4831 etc. If you move up to the 162gr sst you can really make use of these slower powders. I have no load data for the STW but have worked with Retumbo in the 7mmRUM with the 162gr a-max and gotten sub .5moa groups. Keep in mind, retumbo is out there with H870 in burn rates. If you want to use retumbo,..try the new sierra 175gr SMK or the Berger 180gr pills.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
