some after market mags are of poor quality I would go with a new mag from H.S. or old orginal if possible the main trouble with mags are the feed lips spread they should drag just the slightest amount on the case.I am speaking of the very front of the mag. quote:"praise the hard ball gun"

Don't believe Mitchell produces High Standard type pistols anymore. They were involved in litigation and LOST with the company in Texas who produced High Standard type pistols under the name "High Standard Manufacturing Co."

Probably the best thing to do would be to contact these two entities to see if they have magazines for sale.

My understanding of the matter is the quality of the two above manufacturers isn't up to the original High Standard. You might be better off going with Triple K.

If you have to go third party I've always had very good luck with "The Clip Joint". Fair prices, usually factory original stuff. Email for phone number if you can't find them on line.

ratgunr, someone here on Gunbroker is selling some nib originals for a decent price. I keep running across his auction when I do a search for H/S grips. What model do you have? You might try an e-mail to BOBSKI, he's a big H/S fan and I think he may have some mags.

it depends on if its slant grip or military grip...55! ive never had problems with mitchell mags. i have had problems with new hi standard mags. the new hi std co. of texas even has a repair recall and fix it page on their website. www.highstandard.com. theyre having a lot of problems with the new mags. i think they got a handle on it now. the problem is... how would you know a good one from a bad one if you buying one off the web? unless you knew where it came from, i'd be suspect.

Given the fact that "Mitchell High Standard" mags were made for them by "Triple K", I don't think that you will see much difference between them. I have ordered High Standard mags from Triple K and they came in with the Mitchell logo on them. Obviously they were making them for Mitchell, then Mitchell went under so they simply sold the mags under there Triple K label.
