new mossberg rifle

I saw a 270 rifle at Wal-Mart for $244.00 that I think was a Mossberg. Anybody know anything about this rifle.

    I saw that too,but was in a rush so I didn't get to look at it(Not that I need another deer rifle).If it's of typical Mossberg quality,it should be worth the money.(Gotta be better than that POS Remington 710.)

    if its the ssi-one they are very nice and have interchangable barrels..i have one in 243 and 308...quality seems to be very high...nice price also..tom

    I SOLD ONE [ SSI-ONE ] SEVERAL MONTHS BACK . RECENTLY ASK ABOUT ANOTHER RIFLE WITH EXTRA BARREL AND WAS TOLD THEY HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED . IT IS A GOOD LOOKING RIFLE AND MY CUSTOMER IS HAPPY WITH IT .

    This is a bolt gun and I thought someone may know who makes it. Is it an import? Did Mossberg start a new line? Gee, don't anyone here work for Wal-Mart?

    I'll run down to Wally World at lunch and check it out.Mossberg's websight doesn't show a bolt action so it must be something new.

    The rifle your talking about is a Mossberg model 100ATR it comes in 270win or 30-06. They been out about a month.

    I don't approve of political jokes. I've seen too many of them get elected.

    I have been looking for info on this gun for about 3 weeks. No one seems to know much about this new rifle by mossberg. I have talked to 3 different wal-mart employees.
    I ask to see the books on this gun or any other info but when they got the books out there was no info in their books about it or any way to order one.
    The main office must have sent them out. Maybe a deal between mossberg and wal-mart.
    If any one here has shot one, I would really like to know how well it shoots.
    I am thinking of buying one to check it out, but hate to waste $244 on something that won't last or is just junk.

    Checked one out at W-M. It looks to be well made and has the usual Mossberg finish (adequate but not polished). Probably a good utility type rifle. Felt good on the shoulder, too. Didn't get to check the trigger. Pretty sure it has a "lawyer" trigger pull.

    HEY GUYS , I JUST BOUGHT A NEW MOSSBERG 100 ATR .270 WIN RIFLE FOR $ 244.00 . i LIKE THE FEEL OF IT , AND THE PRICE. THE WEAPON LOOKS AS IF TO BE OF MOSSBERG QUILITY. IT CHANBERS GREAT , AND HAS A FREE FLOTING BERRAL. OVER ALL , I THINK WORTH THE MONEY. IF YOU FIND ANY BALLIATICS OUT E MAIL ME.

    Hey new to the board here..Just bought one today from wal mart too. mine is in 30.06. it fits really well on the shoulder and reminds me of a weatherby. tomorrow im heading to the range to sight it in. oh and i put a bushnell 3x9x40
    on it when i got it out of the box. it comes with built in bases without iron sights. 244 dollars, they should sell thousands of them.
