Security Industries revolver?
I saw today at a local pawn shop a Security Industries 5 shot snubby, 38 spl stainless revolver.
I had never seen or heard of such a gun before, does anybody have more information?
Price is 170$, it seems a little high to me, any opinions?
Thanks.
Daniel.

Daniel... Security Industries guns were made in New Jersey back in the 70's.
The gun you saw was the model PSS. It is valued at $150.00 in very good cond and $200.00 in excellent condition.

Be real careful with those Security Industries revolvers.
I bought a new one in 1976 or 1977. It blew up
in a friend's hand the first time we took it out to the range.
The Barrel had crystallized and split in two pieces, taking part of
the frame with it. We were lucky the fragments didn't hit one of us.
The distributor took the pistol back and said that they
had a number of them returned, poor metallurgy.
Look for a Chiefs Special or a Taurus or a Ruger Sp101.
They are much better guns.0 -
they looked good but were JUNK ! stay clear ! 0 -
Thank you guys. When I finally got a chance to go back and check it out it was already sold. I guess it worked out great.
I just got a little Rossi stainless untill I can afford to get a SP101. I'm a big Ruger fan.
