please help with Walther PP 22 l.r.

Can anyone help me with the year of manufacture of a Walther PP 22 L.R. pistol? The serial # is 283--, followed by LR. An eagle over the letter "N" can be found on the frame, bolt, and slide. "Made in West-Germany" is stamped on the frame. The number "67" is on the bolt. Barrel length is 3-7/8". It is double action, blue, fixed sights, with plastic grips and a steel frame. It has a button magazine release. It does not have a lanyard loop. Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/DO is on the left side of the slide. thanks!

    For us to be able to help you, you have to give us a concise description of all markings on the pistol, especially the proof marks. Close-up quality photos would be even better. Also the serial number with the last two digets replaced with X's, might help to pin down the date.

    Your pistol is of post W W II manufacture, "West-Germany", "Ulm/Do". Believe the "67" is the date of proof, as this was one of the requirements of the West German Proof Law that was adopted after W W II. This makes your pistol at least 37 years old, My 2 Cents.
