Beretta S 685 ?
I bought a Beretta O/U S 685 and i can not find any information on this gun or any value. It says that it is made in italy and has Gardone V.T. on the side. Can some one help inform me about this gun. Thanks

its 85% on the wood, no engraving, ported barrells, 12 gauge, 8 choke tubes, the price i payed was $500 0 -

The 685 series Berettas were an entry level inexpensive over & under that was discontinued around 1986. They were made in both 12 & 20 gauge, auto safety (for field use), single trigger, extractors, & fixed chokes. If your gun has screw in chokes they have been added & I might add that the only manufactuer of tubes thin enough for this conversion was Colonial as the barrels on these guns were very thin. They have a matte chromed receiver with etched engraving, checkered grip stock that may or may not have recoil pad. All in all a very good value for the price. I bought one of each gauge at a K-mart in Chattanooga, Tn in 1985, for the sum of $545.00 each. Current values range from $600 NIB to around $400 in good condition.
