30 WCF versus .30-.30
This might sound very novice, but I am. What is the difference between 30wcf and .30-.30? Can you use .30-.30 ammunition in a rifle chambered in 30wcf and vice versa? Need to be educated before I spend some money on vintage winchesters. Thanks a bunch for all your help.

Hello Lew...
"30 W.C.F." is the original name that Winchester gave the 30-30... they are one and the same cartridge.

Thanks Bert and Brian. Just purchased a Winchester 94 in 30WCF, full octagon, circa 1918.Got my eye on another(94SRC). You did the easy part, answering the question, now the hard part's mine-- telling the wife.( Got 10 days to do that....)[xx(]
Thanks again,
Lew0
