Kent shotgun shells

Need an honest opinion on Kent 3" 12 guage shells, either 1 1/8 oz. or 1 1/4 oz. steel shot. Good, bad or indifferent compared to, Remington, Winchester, etc.

    Since no one else has offered an opinion I will tell you I have not used any of the Kent 3" shells, but have extensive experience with their 2 3/4" target loads & can tell you they are an excellent performing shell. Might add that in bulk purchase these shells are cheaper than I can reload.

    I sold approx 60 cases of 3 in waterfowl loads in my store 2 years ago. I did have some complaints about misfires. I dont know if this was the shells fault or due to wet ammo.

    i believe KENT bought out ACTIV (the facilities, machinery, patents, etc...) and another small time shell manufacturer. they are a "high-end" brand. alot of waterfowl and upland game shooters prefer there loads...

    we do not stock them here at the shop, and i have never shot them...
    having said that, SHOOTING SPORTSMAN magazine, and GUN DOG both gave them solid reviews and strong recomendations. i did recieve the dealers literature and info package here at the shop, and it looked good...

    i will now have to order a few boxs and try them out.
