The easiest way to tell the difference is the Mark II says it is on it. The only real noticeable difference is the magazines won't interchange, and the capacity is different. I have found the accuracy isn't as good with the Mark II.

Hello mark I the slide will not stay back after the last shot is fired mark II after the last shot is fired the slide will stay back . They are good and less than great guns as far as accuracy in both mark I and mark II If you shoot matches the slide hold open feature is a must. quote:"PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"

There are indents on each side of the rear of the reciever of the Mark II to make it easier to grasp the lugs on the slide. They also claimed they improved the trigger.
