m44 worth?

could someone tell me what a romanian M44 7.62x54r caliber rifle with side folding bayonet is worth..... sure seems to be alot of these around lately

Big 5 is selling arsenal refinished Mosins of the same configuration as the M44 for $79.

Need more info on the rifle.What condition is it in,hows the barrel look, wood in good shape? Got any pictures?

Sorry to piggy back, but I just inherited one of these as well as the rest of my father in laws collection and was wondering if there was any premium on one that was a Vietnam bring back. The wood is immaculate, the metal finish is 95% or better and has chinese markings next to numbers on the receiver. If I had to venture a guess on it, it looks like a russian made gun, refinished(as there is some noticeable pitting on the receiver at the woodline but it is finished over), and reissued by the chinese. He got it in the early 70's from a neighbor returning from duty, I have no documentation, only his word which is good as gold.
