winchester scope

i have a vintage scope 8x that im told is a winchester scope but is not marked winchester or any name ? did winchester make a scope with no name ? this came off a winchester model 75 rifle !!

  Winchester introduced an 8X scope in 1939 that was marked only 8x on the objective bell and has a japaned brass tube that gives a greenish-black color to the tube finish. Seems to have been discontinued in 1944 or 1945. Length is 18" and tube diameter is .75". Value between $175-$300.
