So.dak pheasant regs?????

Anyone know off hand if it is legal to use extension tubes for Sodak pheasant hunting? Or is there a limit to the number of shells you can have in your gun?

    You can have as many shells as you can load with your extension tube. I load just 3 because the limit is 3 roosters. I load more when I hunt with others so I can shoot their birds too. Lots of pheasants this year. May have record numbers because there was very little snow last winter. Good luck. Look for the colors in the feathers so you don't shoot a hen.

    LOOK INTO DUCK AND GEESE HUNTING ON THE INDIAN LAND . NON RES. LIC. RUNS $100 OR SO . THEY EVEN HAVE BLINDS MADE IN SOME OF THE FLOODED POTHOLES NEAR THE MISS. RIVER, JUST BRING A FEW DECOYS , SOME NON-TOXIC SHELLS AND MAG. PLUG OF COARSE . IT'S A GREAT WAY TO SPEND YOUR MOURNINGS BEFORE THE PHEASENT HUNT GETS GOING . I HOPE GREATPLAINSHUNTER IS RIGHT AND THEY ARE PLENTY OF BIRDS . GOOD LUCK !!

    THINMAN--Which reservation? What part of the state? Sounds like fun to me.

    I HUNTED IN KENEBEC WEST OF MITCHELL [30-40 MILES OR SO] . DON'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF RES. ,IT'S BEEN A COUPLE YRS. . THE INDIANS HAVE MOST OF THE LAND ALONG THE MISSOURI RIVER . THE INFO YOU GET WITH LICENSE THAT SHOWS THE DIFF. AREA'S/ZONES WILL SHOW THE RESERVATIONS .
    CHECK INTO IT , IT IS FUN SHOOT'N DUCKS IN THE WINDS OF S.D. .

    I hunt just west of aberdeen, family owns 22 square miles. I have been hunting it for years, the reason I ask shell limit is because I have always used o/u out there, but Im always spending more time loading than shooting, so this year im bringin the 1100 with choke tube

    Lower Brule is the Indian Reservation west of Mitchell. Cabellas has a store in Mitchell. The Central Flyway is through SD. There are so many resident geese here right now especially near the glacial lake area 50 miles east of Aberdeen. Early goose season starts in a couple of weeks. Last year was my first successful year hunting geese. My dad is my best friend and hunting buddy. I live in Aberdeen and prefer to pheasant hunt but both farms I hunted sold last year so I don't hunt as much. Most people want to get paid if you hunt their land. I am not willing to pay yet. I got spoiled going home for lunch, driving 10 minutes to the farm with my dog, hunting for 30 minutes then home again then back to work. I miss it!
