Marlin mod.39a .22 cal

I have a winchester mod 60 bolt action 22 it fires shorts longs and long rifle. I am getting an older mod. marlin Mod. 39a. Will this lever action also shoot shorts and longs.? thanks a lot

  Yes, the Marlin 39a was designed to shoot shorts, longs, and long rifles.

  Yes the 39a will shoot shorts, longs and long rifle in .22 ammo. You can mix them in the magazine and the rifle will sort them out. Nice feature. I have never tried CB caps in mine and don't know if the 39a magazine will handle them. Its not mentioned on the barrel, so probably not. Maybe someone out there knows
