unmarked shotgun

have a (probably 19th century) double barrel (side by side) shot gun with no markings except "laminated steel N 876" on the barrel rib.
When compared with numerous pictures on the internet, I found one distinguishing feature... the lever to open the barrels sticks out underneath, just forward of the double trigger.

Can anyone shed any light on what model/make/year this gun is? Or give me a direction to go?

    This type of action is known as a "Under Lever". Chances are it has Damacus Barrels. There should be some proof marks on the underside of the barrels and the flat surface the barrels rest on, ( known as the watertable ). If you can provide us with a accurate description of the proofs, we MIGHT be able to help you answer your questions?

    The only markings on the watertable are 2 very small X shaped designs. One on either side. The sides of the stock (both sides) also have "DEAN" marked on them.
    Any ideas?
