Barrel Length

When measuring the length or a rifle barrel,do you include the chamber?

  did the sunset of the "feel good" ban,are barrel lengths on AR's also relaxed,or is 16" still the minimun?

  the 20 inch barrel should have about 25% more kinetic energy at the muzzle than the 16 inch barrel, correct?
  Assume the volume of the gas in the barrel is negligible compared to the final volume of the gas after the bullet exits the barrel, then force on the bullet should be relatively constant. KE=Force x distance or 1/2 mv^2
  20/16= 1.25,so 25% more energy, so (v of 20 inch)^2 = 1.25 (v of 16 inch)^2, (v of 16 inch) = sqrt((v of 20 inch)^2/1.25)= sqrt(0.8(v of 20inch)^2)
  The result is that the 16 in barrel should have about .8944(velocity of 20 inch), or the bullter will go about 90% as fast out of a 16 inch barrel as a 20 inch barrel
  Did I do that right?

  I've got a 20 inch on my R.R. and a friend has the 16. I've not noticed much of a difference in accuracy other than he's a better shot than me.
