High power classification
How are you advanced in the NRA high power classifications? Is it when your scoring average gets above 84 (for MK) or if you shoot above it once? TIA.....Joe

Hello N.R.A. classification is the average on a number of shots in pistol it is 360 most pistol matches are 2700's or 270 shoots the average is on 360 shots so it would take 2 matches in a row but if you shoot a 2700 and team matches in one day this could put you at 360 rounds .once you go up in class you can go back if you get older and your scores go down but you can only do this once a life or if you quit for 3 years or more you can start over. if you shoot matches at many different places and the paperwork goes to NRA it might go in in a different order then shot. I think high power rifle is same No. of rounds but I would check with NRA comp div. 0 -
I think rifle classification is determined after each 240 rounds shot in a NRA match. If your average with the first 240 rounds fired is equal to marksman, then that is your first classification. The average of your next 240 rounds will determine if you get reclassified. I jumped from marksman to expert after my second 240 rounds were shot skipping sharpshooter class. 0
