What make of hand gun is this?

    It's a Mateba, semi-auto revolver. Cylinder & slide move, cylinder rotates.

    Italian made,I believe. Both in 357 & 44 mag. They were marketed a number of years ago. Dont know if their still in production?

    Yes it is a Meteba and it is manufacted currently. You'll notice that this is an improved version with some up grades.

    a very good investment. im getting one soon. i wish someone would tell me what the new upgrades are though.

    There's a fairly short but thorough overview of the Metaba in the September 2004 issue of Guns&Ammo. Says it has adjustable trigger,chambered in .357,.44., .454Casull but that the .454 is best used in the carbine version with 18" barrel and buttstock. The barrel can be changed out for different lengths. Can be thumb cocked (single action), racked like an auto, or double action. Hmmmm, might have to put one of these on the Christmas wish list.
