Pistol Vise

Can anyone recommend a good pistol vise that is good for both sighting in and maintenance? I was getting ready to buy the "Bullshooter" until I ran across this article that says it is nothing but junk.

    Hello I use and think the best pistol unit is the RANSOM"MASTER SERIES"REST this unit is used to test pistols and ammo you have to buy a set of grip inserts for each type of pistol . I dont know if this is what you are looking for as it does not hold pistol for you to work on it . The RANSOM REST is what NRA and other gun writers use as well as most BULLSEYE shooters use for testing.     Nice looking piece of equipment. Not sure if I am up to this level of perfection yet. $510.00 with the windage base. Would be nice to find one used.

    Hello you don't need the windage base but you do need a firm support to mount it on I have a 24" pipe 6' long with 4 ft in the ground filled with concreate. advertise on this site for a used one you might get "LUCKY" there are more out there then you think they have been making for years and some of us old time bullseye shooter are retireing . I you live in Va you are welcome to visit and use mine .
